| (1)Scoring Put scoring blade (A) with a hole on the blade holder collar (B). There is a matching pin to the hole and put (B) and (C) together with screw (D,E) and set bottom collar (F,G) as close as it won't slit the stock. Note the blade should face to the round edge of bottom collar. Scoring pressure can be changed by the gap between two collars (F,G) Adjust all the fold rolls to get the same pressure all the way across the rollers. Hand-fold the scored stock to find which side of the sheet comes out first from the last fold roll on to the slitter shaft. Then, set the last deflector a bit lower on that side (one side only) to compensate the time lag between those two sides of the sheet. In this case, be sure to put less pressure on the fold roll located right in front of this deflector (ex. No.4 fold roll for slanted No.4 deflector). Adjust the angle of fold plate sheet stop instead if fold plate is used at the last position. (or adjust the pressure of the fold roll in front of the fold plate) CAUTION When using the upper buckle for nicety trimmed stock, do not slant its sheet stop as it will cause the crooked fold. HINTS The machine is with zero gauge to set the male side to 0 (zero) point on measuring tape. Set the rubber pinch rolls at an appropriate position on both upper and lower shafts and on both sides of the blade for better control while being scored or perforated. Sheets should be scored from underneath for the use of lower buckle on the right angle or double folio ford and concertina ford with horizontal buckle on KTT section. Scoring blade can be taken from female side up to male side in order to reverse the setting (male and female scoring blades are of the same dimension). Twist blades on/off the shaft as they are split type blade. All the hollow screws (D, E, K, etc) should be lined up for easy set-up. DETACHABLE SLITTER SHAFT Undo the screw (K) and other screw on the other side of the shaft The end collar on the other side can be moved towards the side frame to make a gap to the slitter shaft. Using that gap, the slitter shaft can be detached easily. |
