Perfect for applying adhesive to mailer opening edges and the inner sides of 16-page booklets
This unit uses the vacuum belt to draw folded sections fed from the top or the top and bottom edges of the opening of the finished booklets (1 & 2) and the arm leaves them half-opened. After folding, adhesive is applied to the opened paper’s inner sides and edges, and flaps are closed (3). Combined with a separate paper feeder, it is possible for it to perform other operations, such as inserting paper. Additional feeder equipment for folding of course allows for saddle stitching and perfect binding when there are fewer pages, along with insertion of non-folded single pages, folded booklets, etc.
The general-purpose Oristar-based unit performs both general parallel folding and A4-width mail folding.
Direct mail is used to send targeted information to a selected audience. It has been re-evaluated because of its high response rates. These direct mails do not require manual enclosing, and can convey large amounts of information because printing is also possible on the backside of the envelope.
